After completing a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Personnel and Industrial Relations, Heather established her career in Human Resources in the insurance industry.

She joined Aetna Canada in their Claims Department, with the intention of ultimately pursuing a role in Human Resources. That opportunity came nine months later when she was promoted to the position of Compensation Analyst. A year later she was promoted to the position of Recruitment and Employee Relations Specialist. Experience was gained in not only recruitment, but also job evaluation, salary administration, career counseling and development and implementation of in-house programs.

Heather then joined Reed Stenhouse Ltd. as their Human Resources Officer, which further enhanced her development as a Human Resources Generalist.

Realizing there was a need for an experienced, professional and ethical consultant to service the insurance industry, she brought her expertise to the placement field.

Heather listens and provides a consultative approach.  She coaches insurance professionals on their job search and provides advice to help them “shine” during the interview process. Having her pulse on the industry and understanding the market trends greatly benefits her candidates.  Her goal is not to simply “place a square peg in a square hole” but to assist candidates with their career choices and identify position(s) that will enhance their careers.
